Mission Statement

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), is committed to the principle of institutional control in the operation of its athletic department. This means following the letter and spirit of the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA, Mountain West Conference (MWC), and UNLV administration.

The Office of NCAA Compliance and Student Services coordinates, monitors, and verifies compliance with all NCAA requirements. The compliance office also educates members of the university community regarding NCAA and MWC rules and regulations. Through educational programs and interpretive support, the Office of NCAA Compliance strives to ensure that all individuals associated with UNLV athletics understand and abide by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and MWC.

The Office of NCAA Compliance and Student Services is located in the Thomas & Mack Center. Compliance office personnel includes the Associate Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance and Student Services, the Assistant Director of Compliance, and student workers/interns.

The goal of the Office of NCAA Compliance is to take a proactive approach to educating, monitoring, and overseeing the intercollegiate athletic programs at UNLV and cultivating a positive environment for NCAA compliance.
