	Louisville Game To Be Shown On ESPN2 The starting time and television status of UNLV's men's basketball game scheduled for Wednesday, December 31 at Louisville has be announced. The Runnin' Rebels' contest against the Cardinals will be televised live on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. PST/6 p.m. EST. [ + ]
	UCLA Transfer Stanback Becomes Runnin' Rebel Chace Stanback has enrolled in classes at UNLV and has become a member of the men's basketball program, head coach Lon Kruger announced Monday. Stanback, a 6-foot-8-inch, 210-pound guard/forward, transferred to UNLV from UCLA, where he played as a freshman during the 2007-08 season. He will have to sit out the 2008-09 season at UNLV because of NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to play for the Runnin' Rebels as a sophomore during the 2009-10 season. [ + ]
	Tickets For Teachers Program Launched The UNLV men's basketball program wants to say "thank you" to local teachers and is looking for help from the community. Working with the Clark County School District's School-Community Partnership, the Runnin' Rebels have launched a "Tickets for Teachers" program for the 2008-09 men's basketball season. [ + ]

Kruger's Contract Extended
The Nevada Board of Regents approved a one-year contract extension for UNLV men's basketball head coach Lon Kruger during its meetings August 7-8 in Reno. Kruger is now under contract through the 2012-13 season. [ + ]

UNLV senior guard Wink Adams participated in a live online chat with fans on Friday, Aug. 8 on UNLVRebels.com. Adams, an All-Mountain West Conference selection last year, led the Runnin' Rebels in scoring in 2007-08. He was instrumental in UNLV's back-to-back MWC Tournament championships and the Runnin' Rebels' NCAA Tournament appearances each of the last two seasons, which included wins both years in the Big Dance and an appearance in the 2007 Sweet 16. UNLV In ESPN.com's Top-10 Most Prestigious
As ESPN.com released its top 10 most prestigious men's college basketball programs since the 1984-85 season on Friday, UNLV found itself among the likes of Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, Connecticut, UCLA, Syracuse and Georgetown. The Runnin' Rebels came in at No. 8 on the list, which ranked 300 programs using a numerical method. [ + ]
