Enchanted Ending For Rebels
The UNLV women's golf team posted its best-ever finish at the NCAA Championships on Friday, finishing 16th overall at the national tournament, which was played at the Championship Course. [ + ] Playing in less than ideal conditions for the second-straight day, the UNLV women's golf team completed its third round at the NCAA Championships despite a lightning delay on Thursday. [ + ] Battling high winds at the end of its round, the UNLV women's golf team fought through the conditions and posted a solid second-round score of 297 (+9) at the NCAA Championships on Wednesday. [ + ] UNLV women's golf is in 24th place following the first round of the 2008 NCAA Championships, played at the Championship Course on Tuesday. [ + ] For the third time in program history, the UNLV women's golf team is headed to the NCAA Championships, which begin on May 20 at the Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M. The 72-hole tournament will be played over four days, with teams playing 18 holes each day on the par-73 course, culminating with the final round on May 23. [ + ] UNLV freshman sensation Therese Koelbaek tied for medalist honors and the Rebel women's golf team finished third at the NCAA West Regional, which wrapped up Saturday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.
