	Rebels Become Road Warriors In 2008 The UNLV women's soccer team, four-time defending Mountain West Conference Champions, will play a challenging 2008 schedule that sees the Rebels playing seven of their 12 non-conference games away from home. However, the Rebels will make up for that time away from home by hosting the 2008 MWC Tournament for the fourth time in the 10-year history of the league. [ + ]
	Seven Rebels Named MWC Scholar-Athlete UNLV placed a school-record seven members of the women's soccer team on the 2008 MWC Scholar-Athlete team. To be eligible for selection as a MWC Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team. 	Rebel Summer Update: Coach Mertz And The US U-20 National Team Though the Rebels have the summer off, there's no vacation to be had for UNLV head coach Kat Mertz, as she is spending several weeks this summer serving as assistant coach for the U.S. U-20 Women's National Team. Currently, Mertz is in Park City, Utah, as the team is holding its training camp, as head coach Tony DiCicco has broguht in 24 players for this week for their final preparation before the team enters CONCACAF Qualifying for the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. The UNLV women's soccer programs have announced their summer camp dates, as a total of five camps will be held this summer at Peter Johann Memorial Field and other locations in Las Vegas. [ + ]
